Conservation at Dover Castle

At Dover Castle, one of England’s greatest castles, Paye embarked on a major conservation project to maximise the castle’s potential and ensure its survival for future generations.

Our highly skilled team have conducted a programme of de-vegetation and consolidation to the imposing Constables Tower, St Johns Tower, Norfolk Tower, the impregnable East Curtain Wall and the medieval tunnels.

The challenge of access was met head-on with power cradles and rope access. Additionally, Paye conducted work to the Casemates, completing a programme of brick repair, cleaning and window redecoration.
