Fitzrovia Chapel is a magnificent Grade II* listed building that was originally housed within The Middlesex Hospital.

It now sits in the centre of the Fitzroy Place development. The building had been unused for years which lead to deterioration of the mosaic and marbled internal walls, floors and ceilings.

Paye carried out extensive research and investigation into sourcing replacement materials to help in the conservation repair of damaged masonry.

Cleaning and stabilisation of loose mosaic was carried out to retain as much of the original material as possible along with selective discrete replacement where necessary.

The external brick facades where also cleaned and repaired using matching hand made plain and moulded bricks.

The Fitzrovia Chapel was built

1892
