London
Strand Palace Hotel is one of London’s busiest hotels with over 90% occupancy throughout the entire year. As Principal Contractor, Paye undertook an extensive 14-month external repair and refurbishment contract of the listed terracotta facades which had become damaged due to corrosion of the supporting steel frame. Associated work included roof repairs, repair replacement of timber dormer windows.
Following the successful completion of this contract Paye was also awarded the main contract to renovate the extensive lightwells, cleaning and repairing masonry, windows, and metalwork.
During these comprehensive works, the hotel remained open throughout the contract, exemplifying how Paye can work closely and safely with every client and in close proximity to the general public.
