Paye have a proud history of working closely with Historic Royal Palaces surveyors and archaeologists and English Heritage to conserve and repair the buildings within the Tower of London, which is a World Heritage Site.
The projects have included:
The stone and timber repairs to the Byward Tower
The repair of the Yeoman Warders quarters
The conservation of the 12th Century St John Chapel
The conservation of the Bloody Tower
The investigation and repair of the Saint Peter ad Vincula Chapel
The design of a new conical lead roof to the 13th century Wakefield Tower
Conservation repairs and cleaning of the Waterloo Block
Whilst working within the Tower of London requires a high level of craft skill and expertise, the ability to manage the works safely to critical deadlines where there is such a high level of general public access is just as important. We are proud of the fact that we have been able to demonstrate these capabilities year after year.
