Paul Newsam

BSC (Hons)

Paul Newsam graduated from Leeds University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He gained specialist experience in a wide variety of structural repair methods before specialising in the repair of historic facades. Paul joined Paye in 1993 and was promoted to Director in 1995. He served as Managing Director until 2018, when he was appointed Chief Executive. In 2025, he transitioned to the role of Chairman, where he provides strategic oversight and guidance for the organisation's long-term development.

Matt Kember

MSC Historic Building Conservation

Matt Kember joined Paye in 1994 and draws on excellent technical and practical knowledge of the industry. With over 30 years’ experience conserving historic and listed buildings, he has been responsible for the successful delivery of some of the most prestigious and complicated restoration and conservation projects in the country. Matt was appointed Director in 2008 and advanced to Managing Director in 2018. In 2025, he moved into his current role as Chief Executive, where he provides strategic leadership for the organisation, setting the company's long-term vision and guiding its overall direction.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Dominic Peachey

BSC (Hons)

Dominic Peachey joined Paye in 2005, progressing through the organisation over two decades. He developed expertise across the full spectrum of conservation, restoration, and complex design and build projects. Dominic was appointed Director in 2018 and advanced to Managing Director in 2025. In his current role, he oversees project delivery, builds strong client relationships, and supports skills development within the team.

Notable projects under his leadership include the award-winning Sheerness Dockyard Church, De Vere Gardens, Centre Point, and Dover Castle.

Robert Greer

BSC (Hons) MCIOB CENV

Robert Greer joined Paye in 1996 from a main contracting background, bringing over thirty years of experience to the organisation. He has been responsible for managing major projects including the Royal Opera House, BBC Broadcasting House, Royal Albert Hall, and the Tower of London. Robert was appointed Director in 2008.

In his current role, he oversees the implementation of the company's Environmental Policy and leads the training and development of skilled craftsmen across the organisation.

FINANCIAL DIRECTOR

Martin Harvey

BA (Hons) ACA

Martin Harvey qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991 and has over thirty years of experience in both practice and industry. He joined Paye in 1997, bringing extensive financial expertise to the organisation. Martin was appointed Director in 2003.

In his current role as Financial Director, he oversees all financial operations, ensuring robust financial management and strategic planning to support the company's continued growth and stability.

Andrew Burnett

MCIOB

Andrew Burnett holds a University Diploma in Quantity Surveying from Greenwich University and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building. He joined Paye in 2005 as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, progressing through Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor roles before being promoted to Associate Director in 2015 and Director in 2025.

Andrew works primarily within the construction department's commercial team, overseeing numerous projects across the home counties and London. He is a recognised specialist in conservation and heritage projects, supporting estimating activities and presenting CPDs to share his expertise with the wider team and industry.

Mark Pettyfer

BBA (Hons)

Mark Pettyfer graduated from the University of Kent at Canterbury and undertook his Quantity Surveying training at Mansell Construction, where he worked for thirteen years gaining extensive experience specialising in historic buildings across London and the South East. Mark joined Paye in 2014 to oversee works on the Battersea Power Station Development. He was appointed Director and continues to lead major projects from pre-construction to completion.

Mark is passionate about developing and mentoring teams, believing that strong relationships and collaboration are key to project success.

Alex Boyd

BSc (Hons)

Alex Boyd joined Paye as a graduate in 2009 and has over sixteen years of experience in heritage restoration projects. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Sheffield University and a Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction from Robert Gordon University. Alex was appointed Director and now leads the Estimating Department and oversees Pre-Construction activities, ensuring clarity, precision, and strategic direction across these vital functions.

His involvement has been instrumental in securing prestigious heritage restoration projects including Battersea Power Station, the Museum of London, Reculver Castle, and Leeds Castle.
