Kenley Aerodrome

Kenley Aerodrome is considered the most complete fighter airfield associated with the Battle of Britain. With its 1000 yard long runways, perimeter tracks and 12 fighter pens this is a unique and important example and one that relates to a military action of world historical importance.

PAYE are to undertake restoration of these pens, which will see excavation of the earth mounds, the execution of ‘like for like’ repairs to both Fletton brickwork and precast concrete panels before the reinstatement of the earth banks to full profile.
